Why we exist

HK 通渠 has a credibility problem. Three patterns we're tired of seeing:

• "We can't quote until we see it" — most blocks are predictable. Refusing to quote on phone is usually a tactic to lock customers in once on-site.
• The "while we're here" upsell — drain cleared in 15 min, then "your bathroom drain looks like it'll block too, HKD 500 to do it preventively." Sometimes legitimate, often pressure tactics.
• Inflated emergency surcharges — fair after-hours surcharge in HK is HKD 150-300. Some operators tack on HKD 500-1,000 "emergency surcharge".

What we actually do

Drain unblocking only. That's deliberate. Specialization keeps our prices below full-service plumbing.

Our scope:

• Toilets, kitchens, bathrooms — auger, drain snake, hot-water flush, mechanical clearing
• Outdoor / light-well / balcony / rooftop drains — debris removal, hydro-jet partner for severe cases
• AC condensate drains — compressed air + vinegar flush, 10-15 min HKD 250 jobs that other vendors over-quote
• Restaurant grease traps + commercial drains — monthly contracts with FEHD photo documentation
• Building common drain mains — through property management contracts
• 24-hour emergency dispatch — same fixed pricing + HKD 200 surcharge 11pm-6am

What we don't do

Equally important — and where many HK plumbers blur lines:

• No water plumbing — pipe replacement, fittings, tap repair. These require a HK 水喉匠 license. We refer to a licensed plumber.
• No fixture installation — toilets, sinks, showers. Out of scope.
• No leak repair — water-leak diagnosis is plumbing work, not drain work.
• No demolition / excavation — large-scale work needs general contractors.
• No kickbacks to property managers — illegal in HK and damaging if discovered. We win on quality, not hidden fees.

If we arrive and the issue turns out to be water plumbing, not drain, we'll tell you upfront and refer you to someone licensed for it. We'd rather lose the job than do work outside our competency.

• After-hours (11pm-6am): +HKD 200

HK customers Google `急通渠` when their drain blocks at 2am. That's our customer's actual search term. We named ourselves to match.

Behind the scenes, our canonical website is drainfix-hk.com — but the marketing brand customers see is 急通渠.hk. Both work. Both lead to the same site, same operator, same pricing.
