Three quick checks before you call
1. Lint filter cleared — most front-loaders have an access door at the bottom front. Clear lint, retest with a short hot cycle.
2. Floor drain water seal topped up — pour 1L water down the balcony floor drain; if smell or backup persists past 30 min, escalate.
3. Hose height check — drain hose should sit 60-90cm above floor in the standpipe. If kinked or slipped, fix; rerun cycle.
